Has Obama Just Thrown The Navy SEAL's Under The Bus?

After suffering two days of questions surrounding the killing of Osama Bin Laden, the White House now says that the decision to kill Bin Laden rather than capture him was made on the ground, in the compound by the SEAL’s, not by President Obama.

White House press secretary Jay Carney acknowledged that bin Laden did not have a weapon even though administration officials have said that bin Laden resisted during the 40-minute raid. Bin Laden was shot in the head and in the chest during the encounter.

Carney declined to offer further details on bin Laden’s behavior during the raid. Resistance did not require a firearm, he said.

Is the White House back peddling after questions were raised concerning whether the POTUS had violated the law by ordering the execution of Bin Laden in a foreign country, in violation of the longstanding policy of the United States to not engage in assassinations?

Has he now thrown these brave navy SEAL’s under the bus by saying they murdered an unarmed Bin Laden?

Stay tuned folks.  This could get really sick, very quickly.
