Breaking: Obama Negotiating Surrender with the Taliban?

Strange discussions seem to be flowing across the intelligence wires and  Threats Watch has the recon via Memri Blog;

An Afghan source in Kabul reports that U.S. Ambassador in Afghanistan Karl Eikenberry is holding secret talks with Taliban elements headed by the movement’s foreign minister, Ahmad Mutawakil, at a secret location in Kabul. According to the source, the U.S. has offered the Taliban control of the Kandahar, Helmand, Oruzgan, Kunar and Nuristan provinces in return for a halt to the Taliban missile attacks on U.S. bases.

I suppose Mr. Obama’s contention that he is examining all avenues of strategy in Afghanistan is true after all. Perhaps we misjudged the man? Oddly, who would have thought that surrender was one of those avenues. My guess is that wasn’t one of the options General McCrystal thought of.
