Tides Foundation Guiding Principles, or How to Rob the Man and Effect Socialism
“Listen to the Field: Responsive philanthropy is connected philanthropy and grantmaking that speaks to the realities of activists and constituents in the field.”
This is the beginning of their organizational principles. ‘Responsive’ is a code word for how they manipulate their underlings. The National Committee for Responsive Philanthropy defines it as “philanthropy that serves the public good, is responsive to people and communities with the least wealth and opportunity, and is held accountable to the highest standards of integrity and openness.” In essence, it is centrally controlled aid that directs ‘people and communities’ to act in a certain way for the collective good. It is baldly and clearly a socialist ideal. But, that isn’t all.
Responsive philanthropy will extend money “where a robust public sector is empowered to protect, preserve and extend the commonly held resources and the public interest.” What areas are considered ‘commonly held resources and the public interest?’ According to this group it is housing, jobs, economic growth, family structure, education, and health. What’s left? Are they not in charge of entertainment? Can they find an area they are not inserting themselves in? No.
The constituents in the field are our children, our parents, our neighbors, everyone. It is the guided political target of these organizations to apply for and take grant money, advocate for a socialist agenda to be forced upon us, and take our money while doing it. We are indeed paying for our own oppressors.
