- I truly love Minnesota, dated a girl from Wayzata once – beautiful state, cold, but beautiful – well, Minnesota, Minnesota, oh Minnesota – the longer this charade goes on, the more it reminds me of what we used to scream at Michigan Stadium in some of the Golden Gopher’s leaner years — it’s the Minnehaha O-fers!!
- One final observation on Minnesota – first, Jesse “The Body” Ventura, now Al Franken . . . oh, my, the Land of 10,000 Lakes is quickly becoming the Land of 10,000 Flakes.
- Kudos to my former political opponent, Mark Schauer, on his swearing-in today as Congressman from Michigan’s 7th District – Mark, I don’t support you politically, but have known you for a long time in the political wars of Calhoun County, Michigan and your election was quite an accomplishment in this traditionally conservative district. While I don’t hold out much hope, may your legislative efforts reflect your constituents’ true conservatism. Best wishes to Tim Wahlberg of Tipton in the years ahead – Congressman, I didn’t know what kind of legislator you would turn out to be, but I was more than pleasantly surprised. You were always well-informed, willing to engage debate and political issues and voted your conservative principles. God bless you and your family as you seek new challenges.
- Senator Reid – seat the man . . . just seat the man. Your refusal to do so will only further demonstrate your astounding incompetence – a fact known to us all and the evidence of which is simply getting tedious. Just seat the man.
