President Obama’s long-standing antagonism toward Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Israel’s present conduct of the war creates a quandary for many Jewish Americans, especially, stanch supporters and financial contributors to him and the Democrat Party.
Regardless of his public pronouncements, Administration sympathies seem squarely with the Hamas controlled Palestine government. Sec. of State John Kerry even counseled Israel in his latest ”cease-fire proposal” to refrain from destroying  tunnels used by terrorists to attack innocent men, women and children. No nation should have to endure this or thousands of rockets aimed at their residential communities.
This Administration also wants Israel to accede to Hamas demands, return to 1967 borders denying them access to their holiest site and return the Golan Heights to Syria, acts making their successful national defense virtually impossible.
Barack Obama’s desire to negotiate with Hamas, a designated terrorist organization affords it undeserved legitimacy and respectability and sets a very dangerous precedence. No wonder under his leadership respect for America is at its lowest ebb ever. How ironic that America’s President seeks to dictate Israel’s borders when he and his Party are incapable of securing and defending our own borders from foreign invaders.
It is quite obvious that Barack Obama’s weak and vacillating foreign policy and inclination to negotiate with terrorist groups has encouraged both increased anti-Semitism and anti-Israel sentiment. His criticism of Israel has also emboldened and empowered Middle East dictators to ignore rather than condemn Hamas rocket attacks on innocent Jewish citizens.
