Democrats – The New Center
There was a liberal, progressive democratic congresswoman who offered the view that some of the tea party supported candidates were so far on the fringe that the democrats would be viewed as the center in the upcoming Nov election.
First, I fail to see how the most liberal, progressive congress and president in the last 70 years can ever hope to claim the center of America ( the political class or Greece perhaps).
There are a new group of faces that the tea party embraces and supports. Folks like Mike Lee, Ken Buck, Rand Paul, Sharron Angle, Marco Rubio, Paul Ryan and Michele Bachmann to name but a few.
The common principles that bind the tea party movement to folks such as these are limited, constitutional government, less taxes, economic freedom by truly free markets and less regulation.
While these new faces reflect those core values, they also occasionally espouse specific ideas that may make the individual voter scratch his head and question. But the great thing about that is at least they have new ideas. Some work – Some don’t. At least they don’t always just trot out the tired, same party line.
These new faces will hopefully become representatives of We The People and the New Center by carrying the guiding principles:
Limited Constitutional Government
Less Taxes
Economic Freedom by True Free Markets
