There’s less than two weeks until the Democratic National Convention and while Hillary Clinton escaped any FBI criminal charges for her misconduct of handling classified information, the jury of public opinion from voters disagrees.
In a new survey by ABC/Washington Post 56 percent disapprove of FBI Director James Comey’s recommendation not to charge the former secretary of state. Furthermore, 57 percent believe the incident makes them worrisome about how Hillary Clinton may act as president.
Her recent polling numbers reveal a continuing distrust from members of her own party: three of out ten Democrats believe she should have been charged. The numbers are increasingly more concerning with Independent voters: roughly six in ten say the FBI was wrong and are concerned about Hillary as president.
