Donald Trump's Infatuation with the Democratic Party

Donald Trump is, without a doubt, the most recognized 2016 Republican candidate during the race for the White House.  He is drawing support from a wide variety of people, to include Democrats.  Mr. Trump is successfully defending himself and aggressively trying to stay away from any establishment Republican support.  Has he come out and directly said that, no.  However, what part of his political campaign truly aligns with any GOP values?  Sure, he has some forecasted policies that could relate to a general Conservative value but how are we not overlooking his extremism or his lack of Republican activity in the last two decades?  Is it just a choice to remain ignorant from his Progressive Democrat leaning past or are voters truly desperate enough to vote for the loud guy and not bother with facts.  If you are interested in a candidate that will say whatever is on his mind and doesn’t worry with political correctness, then he is your man.

Is this where the country has gone?  A lack of political correctness is the main qualifier for voters now?  I understand we’ve had a rough decade but has it been so rough that we are willing to throw a vote to a shot in the dark?  Voter registration is considered public data and The Smoking Gun decided to pull the history on our main man, Donald Trump.  In 2001, he was a registered Democrat.  Surprised?  Probably not if you have paid any attention to politics or presidential campaigns prior to this election.  You might remember the unwavering support that he had for Barack Obama.  In 2008 on the Sean Hannity Show he called himself, “[Obama’s] biggest cheerleader.”  Not only has he gone out to support, then Senator, Obama but he has also donated large sums of money to democratic candidates in the past.

We all know at this point that Mr. Trump donated to Hillary Clinton’s campaign when she ran for Senate, I’ll let that one slide.  She was his Senator and he is an important guy in New York, whatever, he could easily defend those contributions by attributing it to doing what was best for his portion of the market.  How about we discuss his contributions to Nevada Senator, Harry Reid.  Harry Reid falls in fourth place on Donald’s donation record for political campaigns at $10,400 (PatriotUpdate, 2011)  Why would a man that is now denouncing Obamacare aid in the election of someone that was an outspoken Obamacare advocate?  Lastly, who did he donate a whopping $116,000 to?  The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee.  I urge you to visit their website and read their mission.

I guess all I really want to know is, why.  Why are people supporting this man.  I see one pro in this ocean of cons.  He is better than any of the Democratic Candidates right now, but considering his contributions to the Democratic Party, has he not aided in getting Hillary Clinton on that stage in some way?  Can any other true Republican candidate be linked to that kind of speculation?  Think twice before voting, read a candidates book, read one of Trump’s books before he became a “Republican” again, do your research.  Make sure that this is the kind of president we need right now.
