Damning with Faint Praise

“. . . her political skills are not make-believe”, was the nicest thing said about Sarah Palin by analyst David Brooks on the NewsHour tonight, to wit:

“. . . a lot of us are not much pro-Palin. We are anti-anti-Palin, because the attacks have been so feverish. But I think her — her political skills are not make-believe.”
(Emphasis added.)

Analyst Mark Shields, of course, had nothing at all nice to say about Governor Palin.
