I do think that the decision to change tactics for the defense system in Eastern Europe will have a freezing effect on the relations between us and those countries in that region. We can no longer be trusted with our prior obligations. The White House may have a sound reassessment of the situation, but the change may have unintended consequences. Russia may be in-boldend to bully other countries including us and our moral authority will be not be enough to deal with future international threats. We can only hope and pray the new assessment and strategy will work, but with the track record of this administration, I am afraid it will be wrong. While we are all working on health care, we should keep pressuring our government to treat international affairs seriously. Our safety and existence depends on it.
