This is a goal-line stand, people. We have to stop them from scoring, force a fumble and carry the ball 99 yards for a touchdown in the closing seconds of the game.

And we can, if the latest Rasmussen poll is anything to go by:

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Wednesday shows Barack Obama attracting 50% of the vote nationwide while John McCain earns 47%. This is the first time McCain has been within three points of Obama in more than a month and the first time his support has topped 46% since September 24 (see trends).

The good news for us is that it’s fourth and goal for them. They haven’t put the game away yet, and they can’t if we stop them.

If we can drop Obama below 50 percent–and we’re moving him backwards already–then the undecided voters can break for us and we can win this one.

Do whatever you can–volunteer, phone bank for 30 minutes, stand by the side of the road with a sign, confront your Obama-pushing professors in class, donate money–whatever you can manage, every day.

We can win this one for the Mac.
