You can’t watch TV in New Hampshire or the Boston area without seeing umpteen Obama adds.

Obama’s campaign has targeted this state with an advertising blitz. At a recent strategy meeting, Obama campaign workers said that Plouffe & Co. figured they could get the most Electoral Vote bang for their Uncapped Buck in the Granite State. So they’re spending like mad.

But McCain campaign workers on the ground are reporting that independents are shifting towards the Republican ticket. The socialism message is hitting home with residents of a state whose motto is “Live Free or Die.”

Morale is high among McCain volunteers, who feel victory is within reach.

A good sign for the rest of the nation in this critical final week.
