Here’s the question that has ended every single argument I have had with Obama-supporting colleagues, friends and relatives about this election:

What makes Barack Obama more qualified than Sarah Palin?

They hate that one, because they know the answer: nothing.

I get responses like:

• “Well, Obama seems to have heard of the issues.” – Famous Intellectual

• “If you have to ask that, there’s no point in answering you.” – Cherished Relative

• “He seems highly intelligent.” – London Mayor (OK, I didn’t ask him. I read his article.)

They cannot name a single Obama achievement.

They attach the word “seems” to every word of praise for Obama.

They have no idea why they’re supporting him. And it frightens them.
