A little anecdotal evidence from the campaign trail:

Independent voters seem to be breaking for McCain. Perhaps by 10-20%.

I have no scientific basis for this, only my daily conversations with New Hampshire undecideds and independents.

You meet some Obama people out there… but many of those making their minds up late seem to be going for McCain.

If this continues… look out. Election Night could be a surprise party.
