There are two impulses guiding the New Hampshire voter:
“Throw all of them out.”
“I don’t trust Obama.”
Whichever one of these impulses wins on Election Day will decide the fate of the Granite State’s 4 electoral votes.
The election isn’t about John McCain. It’s about a disappointing incumbent versus a troubling newcomer.
Sarah Palin stirs passions for and against. Overall, she’s a plus factor.
I imagine it’s the same in other swing states across America.
To win, McCain and Palin have to fight hard and stay visible.
Maverick may yet come through.
