Are Republicans Ready for the fight?

Are Republican lawmakers ready to fight for what is right? Do they have the will to take on the Democrats?

Have they finally learned that the tacit approval of Eric Holder as AG has had and will continue having terrible consequences to the American people?; from suing Arizona for protecting our sovereignty, to supporting the racist Black Panthers voting fraud to treating with terrorists…..again.

Are republican really ready to take back our country?

If they are, they will fight the leftist Elena Kagan confirmation with all the tools at their disposal, including getting out a clear message explaining the dangers of her appointment and the filibuster.

Despite the dire warnings against AG Eric Holder’s anti American track record at his Senate confirmation hearings (including his proactive role in the release of the FALN terrorists, the Marc Rich pardon and his distain for the second amendment) every democrat and pathetically 20 republicans (half) voted for his confirmation!

Having testified against Holder at those hearings (please see attached links for detail), it was all too clear to me what kind of dangerous ideologue we were about to confirm. And I am but a political novice.

Unfortunately my warnings were all too prophetic but went all but unheeded by those senators so much more wise than this average Joe.

The feeling among those weak republicans who voted in Holder’s favor was, “we have to choose our battles.” A convenient cliché but hardly the confident rallying cry of a party holding the last hope of a nation and charged with upholding our great constitution.

If ever it was put up or shut up time for republicans, this is it. After the slimmest of margins upheld the second amendment just last week, we can not afford another judicial activist on the court. We cannot afford a person like Kagan who placed restrictions on military recruiters at Harvard because of her personal feeling toward the “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy.

We cannot afford the likes of Kagan, who as solicitor general in the Citizens United / Hillary the Movie case, was scolded by Chief Justice Roberts with, “we don’t put our First Amendment rights in the hands of FEC bureaucrats” for her assertion that books, like movies, could potentially be deemed paid political speech and banned around election time. (Please see the attached link, coincidentally there was a segment on the release of the FALN (see above) 73 minutes into the film.)

Please republicans, now is the time to fight. Living to fight another day will be too late.

As Jimmy Buffet famously said, “I’d rather die while I am living than live while I’m dead.”
