Why Healthcare Delayed Immigration Reform (Duh)

While it should be fairly obvious why Immigration reform has been delayed until after healthcare, I have heard of no Republican leader discussing it. The same rationale that made the Democrats delay full implementation of the bill until 2014 (to manipulate the CBO score) also applies to Immigration.  Can you imagine the cost to add 15 million newly legalized residents to the healthcare rolls, probably with full subsidies?  In addition, how would America’s middle class react to the prospect of 15 million illegal aliens becoming legal and receiving full subsidies to healthcare paid for with their hard-earned tax dollars?  Why hasn’t the Republican Leadership raised this issue?

Consider this an open thread.
