DETROIT – With just 15 days before a critical deadline to justify their government loans, General Motors Corp. and Chrysler LLC are trying to pull together restructuring plans that prove they can become viable again.
The combined market share of GM, Ford, and Chrysler is probably just above 45%. Most of that decline is due to GM and Chrysler, where your tax dollars are supposedly at work.
“Ford sources said it is the sort of plant the company wants in the United States, were it not for the United Auto Workers, which has historically opposed such extensive supplier integration on the factory floor.”
Maybe this is one reason why Ford did not take any bail-out money?
