Senator Evan Bayh (D-Indiana) came out today in support of federal help to save the domestic auto industry. He thinks that action is preferable to inaction. That directly contradicts my own feelings about federal government which can easily be summed up as: Government works best when it works least. There is not widespread support for bailing out the auto industry in Washington and the fact that Senator Bayh seems to support some type of federal bailout only proves yet again that he is just like all the other liberals in Washington that think they have to save Americans from themselves. Senator Bayh likes to portray himself as a moderate, centrist, Democrat…but make no mistake about it, there is nothing centrist or moderate about a man who wants to use your hard-earned taxpayer dollars to bail out businesses with failed business plans.
