Both the Secretary of State and Ambassador to the United Nations lied with President Obama’s blessing to cover up a false Obama/Biden re-election campaign narrative claiming their administration had decapitated al Qaeda. Yet, both before and after Hillary Clinton’s disgraceful, “What difference, at this point, does it make” Benghazi testimony under oath on Capitol Hill, the focus of those in the media has been nearly exclusively focused on Susan Rice’s five appearances on September 16, 2012 Sunday shows.
Hillary Clinton, the already anointed Democratic Party presidential nominee in 2016 and then the highest ranking member of Obama’s cabinet lied first, only three days after the September 11, 2012 attacks expelled the following in Delaware:
On Sept. 14, 2012, three days after the assault at Benghazi, President Barack Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton spoke at the transfer of remains ceremony to honor the four Americans killed. The White House published video of their remarks.
After lauding the four slain Americans, Clinton said “This has been a difficult week for the State Department and for our country. We’ve seen the heavy assault on our post in Benghazi that took the lives of those brave men. We’ve seen rage and violence directed at American embassies over an awful internet video that we had nothing to do with. It is hard for the American people to make sense of that because it is senseless, and it is totally unacceptable.”Emails released late Tuesday provide evidence that, contrary to Clinton’s remarks on 9-14, on the evening of 9-11 and just two hours into the attack, Clinton had been made aware that terrorist group Ansar al-Sharia was claiming responsibility for the attack. The United States had a drone or maybe multiple drones overhead, feeding video of the battle back to the State Department and the White House Situation Room. That video allowed members of the administration to monitor the battle in real time.
Is it too much to ask that at least conservatives in the media and Republicans on Capitol Hill make more efficient use of their valuable time and focus on the aspects of this dereliction of duty that will be of most benefit for America’s future? Yes, President Obama should be impeached, but his thuggish gang known as the Democratic Party hasn’t one, much less a majority of Howard Bakers to ask what he knew and when he knew it. Yes, it would be great if these hearings could shame liberals into a patriotic love of their country, and those in our foreign service dependent upon their leadership and good judgment, that exceeds their love of the sound of their own voices.
But what we can and ought to do is forever tarnish the reputation of Hillary Clinton.
Forget Rice. Bill Clinton’s wife was derelict in her duty to follow the Brits out of Libya’s wild wild west or provide security in Libya when she decided to keep us there in harms way. Mrs. Clinton refused to pleas for additional security before the attacks. And she lied after the attacks. The author of HillaryCare, Travel-gate and pal of Syria’s Assad as “reformer” should have been a pariah in national politics before Benghazi. After Benghazi, even if she can’t be charged with a criminal offense, her name should at least become synonymous with incompetent indifference.
Susan Rice is no threat to the future of the Republic. Hillary is. Republicans in C0ngress, Fox News, Rush: please act accordingly.
