Is this guy for real? The transmogrification of Barack Obama, who when he’s not getting down with Jay-Z is out spewing clap-trap on the Fantasy Tour, has mired him squarely in the political gutter. Anyone who’s been to the pump lately – or for that matter, a Benghazi rocket battle – has to know that he lacks leadership, is a community organizer, and practices a philosophy which forwards deception.
Saying that ObamaCare will lower costs is deceptive. Saying that the St. Paul bridge tragedy was caused by “crumbling infrastructure” is a lie. And saying that Republicans hate the poor is absurd.
But Obama’s philosophy is “any means to an end.” Suddenly, rather than an election-free spring, it feels like October 2012, with Messiah Mudslinger dissembling at the podium and this week highlighting his inner Saul Alinsky.
Obama in Virginia:
Young people must mobilize or special interests in Washington will balance the budget by slashing student aid and other education spending. I can’t afford to have all of you as bystanders…. there are powerful lobbies in Washington, and they’re going to want to reduce the deficit on your backs. We are going to have to ask everyone to sacrifice, and if we’re going to ask community colleges to sacrifice, then we can ask millionaires and billionaires to make a little sacrifice, too.”
In Palo Alto:
The Republican budget that was put forward is fairly radical. No, I wouldn’t call it particularly courageous. Ryan’s plan is to decrease taxes on corporations and the wealthy by cutting clean energy programs and transportation…. Nothing is easier than solving a problem on the backs of people who are poor, people who are powerless, or people who don’t have lobbyists or clout.
Now, I root for everybody to get rich. But I believe that we can’t ask everybody to sacrifice and then tell the wealthiest among us, well… you can just relax and go count your money. Don’t worry about it, we’re not going to ask anything of you.
There’s more – a lot more – but how much can you take? Obama sounds like a Third World simp addressing Sesame Streeters. Medicare is insolvent. Social Security is on its way. And the top 5% of taxpayers – those with “no obligation” – pay 60% of all federal income taxes. Furthermore, tax receipts are now less than what the government pays out in benefits.
Does this sound fair to you? Obama loves “fairness,” yet what about “freedom,” which is absent from his words? Does Obama seek fairness at the expense of freedom? One hates to think so. But the rhetoric rises.
And Americans who can count might conclude, Yes.
