Conservatives have a hard choice in November

So, let’s get right to it. For conservatives voting in many races this fall have a difficult choice to make. Do I vote for the RINO establishment candidate, do I not vote, or do I vote to send a message. It’s a sucky choice at best and there are really no good options, all three stick to high heaven.

The GOP establishment in working against the will of their base (conservatives) is directly responsible. For some reason GOP establishment cronyism runs deep with candidates that have been in place too long, not bringing new, fresh candidates into the picture, not have a clear platform other than “We are not Democrats.” The issue for conservatives is if I vote for the RINO, I don’t encourage change in the part establishment, if I sit on my hands or vote against the RINOs I hasten our headlong rush into tyranny. Neither choice is desirable. The GOP needs change, otherwise it’s just Democrat Lite. It’s clear the establishment GOP is as much the party of special interests as the Democrats and are clearly out of touch with the issues facing the average Americans.

On the other hand, if the Democrats keep the majority in the senate, we’ll have the at least 2 more years of bills passed by the house sitting on [mc_name name=’Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV)’ chamber=’senate’ mcid=’R000146′ ]’s desk going nowhere. Plus, here will be nothing to stop Obama from enacting more questionable executive actions. Essentially, more of the same.

All that said, what a Republican majority will do is bring votes to the senate and force Democrats to take up positions they will have to defend in 2016. Those votes on the senate floor and in the committees will matter. Plus, I believe it will be easier to put Obama in a position where he actually has to veto bills that help Americans, further exposing him to the American people for what he is. As much as I hate the Republican establishment, I would hate even more to continue to have a Democrat controlled senate. Still, like most of you, I hate holding my nose to vote; however, we need to take control of the party back from the party of treason.
