The Myth of ‘Junk’ Coverage

The democrats like to use the term ‘junk’ or sub-par coverage.  What does that mean?

Well, it basically means any coverage that doesn’t cover everything imaginable, whether the insured needs it or not. That includes, but is not limited to, pediatrics for the couple in their late 40’s and early 50’s, because you never know when a bun may appear in the oven.  It also covers maternity care for the gay couple, on the chance that their lawsuit against the church because God didn’t allow men to get pregnant, succeeds.  And finally, all those college kids, waiting in line to see their psychiatrist, well now that’s covered.

Say YOU are a young married couple, who doesn’t plan to have a larger family any time soon. Shouldn’t YOU have the right to say YOU don’t need a plan to cover maternity or pediatric care? If things change, YOU change YOUR policy.  If it’s unexpected, then YOU pay for six months until YOU can change YOUR plan.

Notice I capitalized the words YOU and GOVERNMENT in the previous paragraph. What?  I didn’t use the word GOVERNMENT. I guess I didn’t, because this is about YOU and not the GOVERNMENT. They have more than enough to worry about.

When you hear ‘junk’ or ‘sub-par’ it means it doesn’t meet THEIR standard for YOU.  Why does government think they always know what’s best?  Are you in debt as deep as they are?  Would you pay hundreds or thousands for a hammer? Would you spy on everyone around you?  Can you and your spouse compromise?

Remember the famous saying…one man’s junk is another man’s treasure.  Most of the folks who got these policies liked them.  They knew what was in them and again, they liked them. They were satisfied with the cost and again, (all together) they liked them…PERIOD.
