What in the world could possibly possess John Cornyn to demand that the DoJ name a special prosecutor for Hillary's emails?

This has to go down  as one of the really dumber ideas of the year.

It seems that [mc_name name=’Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX)’ chamber=’senate’ mcid=’C001056′ ] wants the Justice Dept to name a Special Prosecutor to investigate Hillary’s growing email scandal, as according to Politico..“GOP lawmakers  (I assume that means you, Cornyn) have become increasingly skeptical that Obama administration appointees running the Justice Department will pursue the matter fairly.”

OK..let’s unpack this, shall we?

The same Loretta Lynch, who heads Justice ( and oh yeah, was hand picked by Obama for the job) and like her predecessor Holder, jumps to do Obama’s bidding …the same Justice Dept that GOP lawmakers are afraid won’t investigate thoroughly….that same  Loretta Lynch will now pick an independent, fearless, determined-to-get-to-the-bottom-at-all-costs-and-leave-no-stone-unturned  Special Prosecutor to investigate Hillary Clinton.

Really?

Either Cornyn is actually that dumb, or……or…

Nope, he’s that dumb.

Here’s what would happen if Lynch actually named a Special Prosecutor tomorrow.

1. She’d look for someone with the integrity and skill set of say, IRS Commissioner John Koskinen (come to think of it, actually, he’d be perfect for the job)

2. It would take the Special Prosecutor about, say..6 months..(just past the South Carolina primary), to gear up and get ready..you know, find office space, get furniture, install phone lines and email, secure parking spaces,  hire a staff..before they started actually doing any investigations.

3. Immediately after the Special Prosecutor was named, Hillary Clinton would release the following statement:

“I am very pleased that the Justice Department has seen fit to name a Special Prosecutor to investigate all these unfounded allegations about my use of email. As I have said many times, I have done absolutely nothing wrong. These accusations were driven by partisan politics, and I am certain that the investigation will completely exonerate me. I will cooperate with the investigation to the best of my ability. However, while this investigation is ongoing, and in order not to compromise it in any way,  I will make no further public comments, or answer any questions pertaining to my use of emails. Further, I am today notifying Chairman Gowdy that as a Special Prosecutor is now directing this investigation, I will not be appearing in front of his committee as I had planned. I will not be a party to any political theater put on by the Republicans. I will devote all my time and energies to  my campaign…meeting, and speaking, with my fellow Americans all over this country as I seek the office of President. We need to turn our efforts away from partisan politics and do our best to make this country great once again for the middle class, all minorities, and our children. Thank you.”

Coryny is obviously taking lessons from that other great Republican strategist, [mc_name name=’Sen. Bob Corker (R-TN)’ chamber=’senate’ mcid=’C001071′ ], who all by his lonesome ( well, working hand and glove with Democrats) gutted the Senate’s constitutional duty to ratify treaties.

Why John, why?

When will they learn?

Likely, never…

Which is why they must all be gone..and as soon as possible
