Harry Reid to refuse to call up Landrieu's bill on the grounds that it is unconstituional.

Mary Landrieu, in a desperate attempt to first cover, then save, her tuchus, has introduced a bill in the Senate, the aptly named “Keeping the Affordable Care Act Promise Act” or KACAPA..which unfortunately for her sounds like “ca-ca.”

Several other Democrats, mostly those up for election next year, have co-sponsored the bill, which would be a major blow to Obamacare. The bill demands/requires/forces/mandates ( take your pick) that insurance companies re-issue all those “crappy, substandard” policies they just  finished cancelling, in order to be in compliance with the provisions of the ACA.

Harry Reid will today, “mirable dictu” announce that he will not bring the bill to the floor of the Senate, as he believes that it is unconstitutional. “The mere idea that the US government would deign to tell insurance companies what they must do is completely un-American.”

It’s also interesting to note that one key person has gone MIA these past few days: Nancy Pelosi. The biggest supporter of Obamacare, she’s flying under the radar as her caucus works itself into a lather. Reportedly some 100+ Democrats will vote for the Upton bill tomorrow; absent a credible solution from the administration to the Obamacare mess.

So, what’s Pelosi been doing these last few days? She’s actually, finally, been reading the bill, and she is shocked, SHOCKED, SHOCKED to find out what’s really in it.

BTW…if you caught Steny Hoyer’s comments, as to whether or not he might vote for the Upton bill..well that was his announcement that he’s going to run against Pelosi for leader in 2014 if she doesn’t retire first.
