Obamacare ushers in Halloween spirits

jack-o-lanternWe’re not sure if the ghost(s) of Anniston and Gadsden, Alabama, respectively, caught on security-camera video below were thrown out of now sheet-less hospital beds or simply failed to survive hours of fruitless attempts to purchase insurance on the federal Obamacare exchange.

But we do know that they desperately crave one of the oldest and cheapest medicines known to mankind.

President Franklin Delano Roosevelt famously took credit for the ratification of the repeal of Prohibition that occurred soon after he was first inaugurated in 1933 when he ran for re-election in 1936 with an economy still mired in the Great Depression, albeit with unemployment temporarily cut from 25 to 17%.

Who knew that some 80 years later, President Barack Hussein Obama, the Democrat who finally fulfilled the ultimate liberal dream of government-run health care, would watch his signature legislative achievement turn into such a nightmare for many that the only medicine they can now afford is spirits, and often only at five-finger discounts.
