The libertarian House duo of Thomas Massie of Kentucky and Justin Amash of Michigan are very close. After Trump’s director of social media Dan Scavino tweeted out a threat to primary Amash, Massie responded by saying Scavino’s behavior was a fireable offense.

One thing that might get Trump’s attention, though, is the fact that he won Michigan by less than 11,000 votes in November. Come 2020, he can’t afford to alienate conservatives if he expects to repeat his performance.
