Recess Appointments Include Robert Stephen Ford, Ambassador To Syria.

Yes, Syria.  The oh-so-peace-loving nation, always up front and above board on their intentions to continually prove to the world that they’re oh-so-peace-loving.

The AP headline speaks volumes:  “Obama bypasses Senate to name new envoys.”

WASHINGTON (AP) – President Barack Obama has bypassed the Senate and directly appointed four new U.S. ambassadors whose nominations had been stalled or blocked by lawmakers for months.

Robert Stephen Ford, Ambassador to the Syrian Arab Republic, Department of State.

Matthew J. Bryza, Ambassador to the Republic of Azerbaijan, Department of State.

Francis J. Ricciardone, Jr., Ambassador to the Republic of Turkey, Department of State.

Norman L. Eisen, Ambassador to the Czech Republic, Department of State.

But wait, there’s more.

A union executive has been tabbed as ‘Public Printer Of The United States’.  His name is William J. Boarman, Senior VP of The Communications Workers Of America and I’ll leave that gent for our good friend LaborUnionReport to handle.

On top of those folks, we have a Mr. James M. Cole, Nominee for Deputy Attorney General, Department of Justice.

Have a look at The White House website page for some totally transparent background on the appointees.

President Obama Announces Recess Appointments to Key Administration Posts.

If I were you, I’d maybe want to find a different but valid and trusted source or two other than The White House regarding actual info on the latest additions to the administration.

Cheers !
