Donald J. Trump talks, When to lie about adultery

30 September 2016,  –  Donald J. Trump on Bill Clinton’s affairs and Hillary Clinton’s role in Bill Clinton’s affairs. Full Interview.

“… Hillary Clinton was married to the single greatest abuser of women in the history of politics,” he added about Mr. Clinton. “Hillary was an enabler, and she attacked the women who Bill Clinton mistreated afterward …”

… he charged in the interview that Mr. Clinton had numerous indiscretions that “brought shame onto the presidency, and Hillary Clinton was there defending him all along …”

… But when asked if he had ever cheated on his wives, Mr. Trump said: “No — I never discuss it. I never discuss it. It was never a problem …”

… Asked specifically about his affair with Ms. Maples when he was married to Ivana Trump, Mr. Trump said: “I don’t talk about it. I wasn’t president of the United States. I don’t talk about it. When you think of the fact that he was impeached, the country was in turmoil, turmoil, absolute turmoil. He lied with Monica Lewinsky and paid a massive penalty …”

3 February 2001 – Donald J. Trump scolding friend Bill Clinton for admitting to Lewinsky affair when President of the United States. Full Story.

Trump likes Clinton, he says, and finds it all too easy to understand why the then president found it hard to answer the question: “Did you f… Monica?” “What he should have done is fought for years not to answer it. I mean, isn’t amazing and terrible that a guy – a president – is put in that position? He could have gone down as truly great, and instead, you know, he’ll be viewed somewhat differently, which is really a shame.”

Trump’s objection to President Clinton’s affair is less that Trump’s friend Bill was “the single greatest abuser of women in the history of politics.” Trump’s objection is, “that a guy – a president – is put in that position” to have to tell the truth about an affair.

When is an affair “a problem” for The Donald? Is Donald J. Trump saying as President he would fight “for years not to answer” to indisputable proof of a lie? Did Trump know his friend President Clinton was having an affair? If Trump did know about Bill’s affair, was Trump enabling his friend by not publically denouncing him?

Trump laments in 2001, “He [Clinton] could have gone down as truly great, and instead, you know, he’ll be viewed somewhat differently, which is really a shame.”

Below the Fold

Clinton’s plan to incentivize volunteerism – Hillary Clinton announced yesterday her new plan to increase the size of the federal government and appeal to The Bernie’s blind love of socialism. Her proposed program titled National Reserve Service, is intended to re-engage Americans in volunteerism.

The Bernie Sanders’ Path to Socialism plan uses phrases like, “expand service,” “grow opportunities,” and “create additional.” If believing “The Reserve” without referencing Socialism for Dummies, which The Bernie Millennial is apt to do, it clearly lays out the way to world peace and participatory democracy.

In truth, there’s nothing new to see here. HRC’s plan differs little from Obama’s current United we Serve which differs little from baby Bush (2002) before him, Bill Clinton (1993) before him, and papa Bush (1990) before him. Moreover, increasing Americorps’ ranks from 75,000 to 250,000 was a bipartisan law passed in 2009 that Obama didn’t give a flip to enforce.

To sum up, The Reserve plan makes America bigger again, not better.

Americorps Revisited – Re-cap: Americorps is a federally subsidized program under the umbrella organization, Corporation for National and Community Service (managing entity for Obama’s United we Serve). Americorps then distributes grants to various other programs and agencies. National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC) is a grantee of Americorps. Up to speed.

Back in April, the Office of the Inspector General found NACHC in violation of a law that prohibits federal money from aiding or abetting abortion. A CNCS investigation proved that six NACHC paid employees “provided emotional support and doula care to abortion patients.”

Two months after the adjudication, and active congressional intervention CNCS pulled funding from NACHC and ended their Community HealthCorps program entirely: a bold step, no doubt.

Few would disagree that Americorps is a worthy recipient of assistance. However, take note that Americorps, the organization HRC plans to “grow,” and Congress (2009) approved increased funding for, has a proven penchant for passing along taxpayer dollars to activist groups without proper oversight. Any new legislation should include robust supervision.

Today is the First Annual National Ghost Hunting Day. Cool! It’s actually more than a day; it’s “The World’s Largest Ghost Hunt!” A $10 donation to Scarefest will get the novice and pro ghoul hunter alike an hour of ghost investigating at tens of locations around the country (and world?). Even cooler, all proceeds will go to local pet shelters in the events’ area.
