On the heels of Thad Cochran’s shameful campaigning in Mississippi meet Rea Scharnhorst, who attempted to portray her black conservative opponent, Shamed Dogan, as a thug in mailers sent around her prospective district. Scharnhorst is running in Missouri’s 98th district to claim the seat being vacated by her termed-out husband, Dwight Scharnhorst. Scharnhorst is ranked #9 in lobbyist spending.
Rea Scharnhorst recently sent these despicable fliers of Dogan throughout the 98th district:
They’re too ridiculous to address, but Dogan did it anyway.
Scharnhorst amped up the hysteria with this reaction to voters just this evening on Facebook:
I’m not sure what “you all will get what is deserved” means or how someone running for elected office cannot differentiate between “your” and “you’re” or why anyone on earth would refer to a successful, black conservative candidate as “boy” unless they’re following the Thad Cochran school of political campaigning, but there you have it. I say this sparingly, but it is what it is in this example and no one in the GOP should ever be so desperate to win that they resort to this ridiculous level of campaigning.
Dogan is a personal friend of mine, I’ve known him for years, before he and his wife Sara added to their family with two beautiful children, before my radio show was nationally syndicated. He was there with me at the very first tea party in St. Louis which I helped organize. There is no better public servant for Missouri’s 98th district than Shamed Dogan and it grieves me to see him attacked by a pet of special interests.
