Ebola and Government

I was watching the head of CDC yesterday on the Chris Wallace show being interviewed regarding the return of the two aid workers to Emory University. It seemed a rather sterile interview until Chris asked him who authorized the return of these patients to The United States. He stated the organization to which these people belong authorized their return.  I was shocked. If there’s one bloody thing that our government SHOULD be involved in regulating, one would think it’s the return of people to our country who have the Ebola Virus, or any other deadly contagious disease.  Now, I’m sure these folks will be contained in a facility where every precaution will be taken to ensure the spread of this disease has a minuscule chance of breaking out, but in general, I’m pretty sure NIH should call the ball on these things
