2010 Senate News (KY,CO,NC,NY)


Senator Jim Bunning is running for a 3rd term.  Attorney General Conway and state Auditor Crit Luallen are rumored to be likely Dem candidates.  Bunning has never received above 51% in his previous 2 runs.


Early Polls Numbers Daily Kos Poll

Salazar was favored in the poll over Tancredo 51 percent to 37 percent. Salazar also beat John Elway, a less likely candidate, 49 percent to 38 percent.

The poll also showed Tancredo with a 41/46 approval/disapproval rating; only 38 percent of independents viewed the outgoing U.S. representative favorably, compared to 49 percent who had an unfavorable view of him.

Salazar had a 48/41 approval/disapproval rating, including a 44/42 approval/disapproval rating among independents.


A new Public Policy Polling survey in North Carolina finds Sen. Richard Burr (R-NC) would lose his re-election bid if Attorney General Roy Cooper (D) decided to challenge him in 2010.
Cooper leads Burr, 39% to 34%.


Congressman Peter King announced he is running for Senate no matter what Dems is picked to succeed Clinton.
