Make Me A Doctor

Yes, today I announce to you that I should be a doctor.

No, I have not obtained my license to practice.

No, I have not graduated from medical school.

No, I have not completed my residency.

No, I have not even attended medical school.

But, I do so want to be a doctor. And who are you to judge me? Who are you to prevent my pursuit of happiness? Who are you to keep me from doing what I love?

It’s time for you to evolve. It’s time for you to drop your intolerance and accept me as a doctor. In fact, I demand that the Supreme Court recognize my right to be a doctor and to practice medicine with willing patients. It won’t cheapen the title. It won’t affect you in any way; you don’t have to choose me as your doctor.

All those in favor, say “Ahhh.”
