Blue Dog Leader Ross says He has the Votes to Block Health Reform Bill in Waxman's Commitee

Blue Dog leader, U.S. Representative Mike Ross (D-AR) confirmed today that he has the votes to block President Obama’s Health Reform bill in the U.S. House Committee on Energy and Commerce.

Also, Majority Leader Hoyer said today, there is NO WAY, the U.S. House of Representatives are staying in session during the August recess.

These two developments are in addition to the many other intra-Dem conflicts which are plaguing the President’s health reform effort.

It appears that in the rush to offer legislation, the Democratic Leadership has moved well beyond the comfort level of its own members.

Meanwhile, the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Ways and Means, is finding four of its Democratic members are refusing to sign off on the bill as it now stands.
