Sometimes the best way to prove somebody is a moron, is to get out of their way, let them speak and watch them prove the point on their own. Jennifer Granholm does this masterfully.
In an article from the Briefing Room, Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm, called senators that voted against the bailout of the Big Three automakers un-American.
Granholm said during a radio interview Friday morning. “It is unacceptable for this un-American, frankly, behavior of these U.S. senators to cause this country to go from a recession into a depression,”
Such an asinine assertion clearly exhibits her complete lack of understanding of economics, “free” markets, and capitalism. Further, disparaging the un-willingness to use tax payer funds to prop up failing businesses demonstrates that she has no idea of what being American means; or used to mean.
Americans embrace the animating contest of freedom. Included in this concept is the idea that life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness are rights ordained by God and beyond the purview of man or institution to revoke or infringe upon. A belief that the role of government is limited to protecting its people from invasion, physical abuse, and fraud. Beyond that, being American means, “leave me the hell alone!”.
Governor Granholm and her idiotic Robin Hood schemes are causing the coming depression. Her cradle to grave nanny state view of society and government, are not only ridiculous on their face, but inherently un-American.
Let’s take a look at Granholm’s “American Way” to stimulate the Michigan economy.
- Increase the individual personal income tax rate
- Reinstate the small business tax
- Convince Honda to build a plant in Indiana
To add insult to injury, in a campaign speech for Obama in Florida, “Jenny From The Block” blamed president Bush for Michigan’s problems. That was both helpful and “American”. What are the results of Granholm’s policies, a six year, one state, recession, double the average un-employment, and an auto-industry on the verge of destruction.
Governor Granholm, the polices of you and the apostles of ignorance in Washington, are “chickens, com’in home to roooost!”. Unfortunately, 99% of America has to suffer with you.
