Is it really the time to worry about bathrooms?

Congress is looking to prevent women’s rights from going down the toilet — literally.

The House Oversight and Government Reform Committee will hold hearings Wednesday on the “Potty Parity Act,” a bill that seeks to address the shoddy restroom facilities for women in federal buildings.

The bill would require any federal building constructed for public use to have similar toilets in women’s and men’s restrooms.

Rep. Edolphus Towns, D-N.Y., chairman of the committee, authored the legislation, which is being cosponsored by Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., the ranking member on the panel.

Towns has said he is concerned that “exasperating lines” and overall restroom facilities for women were “an inconvenience seen in almost every type of public building.”

“Our nation’s history shows that the structure and accessibility of American public restrooms have served as manifestations of more deeply rooted problems of discrimination, among race, physical ability and gender,” Towns said in a written statement last month.

“In 2010, we must move the clock forward by finally addressing an overdue problem of unequal, inadequate and inaccessible public restrooms for women,” he said.

In these days filled with lost jobs, unconstitutional bills, a socialist agenda, rising debt, etc is it really the time to worry that everyone who needs to pee does so in equal bathrooms? How much will this cost us the taxpayers? You know they will have to form a group to study the inequality, then a panel will have to be formed to determine the cost, then of course you need a group to make sure the men do not become unequal in their bathroom endeavors, then a group must be formed to write the required legislation, and so on and so on. At the end of it all we will have yet another massive waste of our money for yet another ignorant reason all so the women can piss in a bathroom equal to what the men use.

Every single representative involved in the bringing of this proposed bill, all who sign on to it, and all those who waste a seconds amount of time to push the button supporting this bill should be placed on the Tea Parties “get rid of” list and we should back them up. Is it any wonder 3 out of 4 people in this country have no trust in the competence of our government?

And I did not even delve into the claims that unequal bathroom appliances equals racism. I figured everyone here can see the stupidity in Towns comments without me explaining it.
