When Obama wants your opinion, he’ll give it to you. Learned nothing from the MA Sen election win by Brown, Obama is resolute as ever and vows to start giving us our opinions.
Excerpts from a recent interview with George Stephanopolous has Obama (“Unruffled, the President was not in apology-mode.”) rethinking all that policy making w/out more face time explaining why it is good for America. He thought since he was elected that everyone who voted for him was as radical as he is and “would get it”. Well, now he has some finger pointing, edumacating, and ‘splainin to do so the bible thumpin, gun clingin people can follow along.
Gee, like he didn’t have enough face time his first year, he feels he needs to ramp it up this year?
“That I do think is a mistake of mine,” Obama said. “I think the assumption was if I just focus on policy, if I just focus on this provision or that law or if we’re making a good rational decision here, then people will get it.“
Instead, the president said the American people ended up with a “feeling of remoteness and detachment” from the policymakers in Washington who are making big decisions.
Golly gee, “remoteness and detachment”? Project much? How would anyone feel like that with the most transparent ethical and open administration pledge? You mean like actually showing health care talks on CSPAN? Or making bills available to read? Or paying attention to what people actually feel about the crap legislation?
Nah, we are too dumb to “get it” and he’ll give us our opinion. That’s the job of a rock star, constitutional know it all, to edumacate the peasants since he knows what’s best for us. He’ll just get more isolated and defiant.
Obama will have a big internal struggle between his left wing ideology coupled with his arrogance trying to slam this crap sandwich home, and a pragmatic politician taking anything he can get that can possibly be called healthcare reform and claim a victory. Should be interesting to watch.
Get ready you people, class is about to begin with Professor Obama.
