April 27, 2010: Day 279 of Opansy's ducking the White House Press Corps

April 27, 2010 — Opansy has not had a press conference since last July 22. That is 279 days since he said the Cambridge police “acted stupidly.” Which lead to the ridiculous “Beer Summit.”

279 days since the man who supposedly represents all the people has made himself available for questions from a press corps that, theoretically, is supposed to represent the interests of all of the people by finding out, through (supposedly) questions not made known to him in advance, what this public servant thinks about his constitutional duties and responsibilities.

Where is the furor from the White House Press Corps?

I did a little searching and found a couple of murmurs in the Minion Media:

On March 8, 2010, after over seven months without a press conference, Karen Tumulty in Time wrote about how the White House Press Corps cannot get close to Opansy when he goes to his staged and scripted “town hall meetings.”

In an April 18, 2010 article, “Is the Press Corps Finally Rebelling Against Obama’s Habitual Secrecy?” Candace de Russy over at Breitbart’s Big Journalism provided a good account of the White House Press Corps members’ feeble complaints about Opansy’s failure to appear before them for our benefit.

What is Teleprompter Manchild so afraid of? Is it not obvious? His handlers know he is a complete empty suit and will eventually “step in it” without a teleprompter.

So, I propose a Redstate countdown: Obama Under Siege — White House Press Corps Terrorizes With Threat of Teleprompter-less Press Conference, Day 279.

We need that smack down Vassar wrote about. It could happen (theoretically — maybe Jake Tapper could deliver it) at a White House Press Conference — and that is what strikes terror in Obama and those who write his scrolling teleprompter scripts.

Meanwhile, we should be ridiculing this cowardly “girly man” for failure to appear for the routine grilling all others before him have subjected themselves for the benefit of “we the people.” A countdown along the lines I have proposed might help get the point across.

What do you think?

Thank you.
