A friend posted this link to an article on a liberal website that tries to educate the public on why they should vote Democrat today. Obama has been president since 2009 and they are fitting the textbook definition of being clinically obsessed with Bush.
The author tries to make a clear case for voting Democrat. The problem is that none of the circumstances he lists are even relevant today.
Democrat v/s Republican
Let’s go to the tale of the tape. (Shout out to Nick Bakay!)
The Bush administration increased federal government spending from $1.789 trillion to $2.983 trillion.
Obama increased federal spending to almost $4 trillion and shows no sign of slowing down.
Most debt was accumulated as a result of what became known as the “Bush tax cuts” and increased national security spending.
Obama increased the national debt by $7 trillion dollars – which is almost the total amount of the 43 presidents before him COMBINED.
Adjusted for inflation, median household income dropped by $1,175 between 2000 and 2007.
First off, notice that it had to be “adjusted for inflation”, the problem is that the median household income dropped by about 4% under Obama which is double the rate as it was under Bush. (Liberal sources like The New York Times will tell you it was more like $2,000.)
By the end of Bush’s presidency, unemployment climbed to 7.2.
This is the one where the numbers just don’t lie, right? The current unemployment rate under Obama is 5.9%. That does not take into account that the labor force has shrunk under Obama the entire time he has been in office. That the number of people who have quit looking for work during the “Food Stamp” presidency would put it at 18%.
The poverty rate increased from 11.3% in 2000 to 12.3% in 2006 after peaking at 12.7% in 2004.
Yet, anyone who has been paying attention that the number of people on food stamps, receiving disability, and generally on the government dole is at an all time high.
This liberal wants people to think that Obama is better. The problem is that Michelle Obama said herself – “Don’t think…”
Why is that? Would they realize they should vote Republican for their own best interests?
