It seems like a year ago when WAPO and NYT published the first hit pieces on HRC’s use of a personal email account which got worse with the revelation that she had a home server. I had a feeling back then that something was afoot as these papers usually support and provide cover for those they favor, as in nearly everyone with a “-D”. Of course it was just a few months ago but it’s hard to keep track of all her never-ending scandals, including the recent revised piece from the NYT about a criminal inquiry into her mishandling of classified information.
Nothing in the Democrat Party happens by accident, especially when the big dog Obama is sitting in the White House directing every scene like The Truman Show. It’s rumored that Valerie Jarrett alerted the NYT to the home-brew email server but who knows. And while the NYT did remove the word criminal from their article, the public editor stated that her source was someone in the DOJ. Others have said the leak to the Times was from a senior administration official. The source doesn’t matter but the fact that two IG’s are requesting DOJ investigate her for possible criminal wrong doing and that we know about it could only have been “leaked” with Obama’s blessing.
Over the weekend, Maureen Dowd published an op-ed in the NYT, titled “Joe Biden in 2016: What Would Beau Do?” She spent
wasted paragraphs comparing Tom Brady and HRC in a negative light, while quoting a very personal conversation between Beau and Biden, as if she were sitting at his kitchen table interviewing him:
He gets along with Hillary and has always been respectful of the Democratic Party’s desire to make more history by putting the first woman in the Oval Office.
But going through the crucible of the loss of his oldest son, Beau, to brain cancer made the vice president consider the quest again.
[snip] He tried to make his father promise to run, arguing that the White House should not revert to the Clintons and that the country would be better off with Biden values.
That’s a very specific quote. The Biden camp clearly wanted this information out as the drums beat louder for him to enter the race and it’ll be easy for him to justify his entry as fulfilling the wish of his dying son.
And who else is beating that Biden drum? The man who speaks for the president, Josh Earnest of course. Yes, he was interviewed by Bill Hemmer at FoxNews this morning and Josh looked like a kid in a candy store. Josh heaped praise on Biden and reminded everyone that Obama had said, “when selecting Biden as his running-mate, the president described that as the smartest political decision he’s ever made.” He also confirmed that Biden has indicated that he’s is considering a run at the White House. Apparently Obama doesn’t want a coronation of Hillary and seems to think it needs some shaking up:
The president ultimately wants Democratic voters to decide who they believe the nominee should be,” Earnest said, when asked what Obama would like to see. He then added: “The president certainly believes that a spirited contest would be in the best interests of our party, and in the best interest of our country.
Make no mistake, this is exactly what would be considered a dog whistle a la Chris Matthews style. The bottom line is, Mrs. Clinton is making Obama and his administration look bad (not that he needs help) by continually having to defend her actions as his Sec. of State rather than focus on his own agenda. Not to mention the amount of time and energy the State Dept. has and will continue to spend on vetting her emails until January 2016.
How bad is it getting for the State Dept.? Bad and getting worse. Circle August 7th on your calendar as it will be a very interesting day for the State Dept. as Sec. Kerry is currently scheduled to answer a complaint by Aug. 7 to a lawsuit by Judicial Watch “that seeks to force Kerry to take steps to recover emails of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and other U.S. Department of State employees” which will divert him from pushing the Iran deal both here and abroad.
From another Judicial Watch lawsuit, it’s also the day that the District Judge has asked for compliance on his July 31 order that requires the government provide signed copies of statements by HRC, Cheryl Mills and Huma Abedin, under perjury of law, that they have turned over all work related emails.
Yes, the drip, drip, drip is hurting HRC, but it’s highly probable that eventually something will come out that will hurt others in Obama’s administration. Judicial Watch has nearly 20 separate lawsuits just about Hillary Clinton’s email records and that’s just one organization!
Don’t forget, it was Obama’s policy that all government employees use a government email account. Why he didn’t enforce that with HRC we may never know. And he strictly forbade Sid Blumenthal to work at State but HRC found another way around Obama’s directive on this too. So if she broke her word to him, isn’t he free to do the same and un-endorse her for his successor? Why I think so and think that is exactly what is happening. No one stabs Obama in the back and gets away with it…it’s the Chicago way of survival.
Yes, when the walls come tumblin’ down, others will get hurt. HRC is creating a path of collateral damage and Obama has to stop her and get her off the public square now before she detonates another new revelation under his bus. If you thought there was excitement in the Republican 2016 race, just wait until the Obama – Clinton feud begins anew. It will make the Hatfield and McCoy feud look like child play. The bad blood between the families never stopped flowing. They put a temporary tourniquet on the wounds for mutual political gains but it seems like Hillary has re-opened them beyond just a flesh wound. Obama has nothing to lose and Clinton has everything to lose. I foresee the price of popping corn rising in 2016 so buy now while you can.
Obama will be stealth about laying down the path for Biden. Just as he never takes responsibility for anything, he’ll claim he heard about the latest HRC scandal from the press. Meanwhile, he’ll be the one to covertly cause her numbers to continue their downward spiral until she has no choice but to drop out. Death by a thousand cuts or maybe needles.
Is it too late for Biden to enter the race? Not if you are given the most complete database ever developed by a political campaign that resulted in two presidential wins. The same database Hillary has asked him to share with her for years but has never relinquished.
Need more proof he’s going to back Biden? Look at his remarks from July 27 when he was in Ethiopia, mostly bashing the rhetoric of Republican candidates like Huckabee and Trump:
“In 18 months I’m turning over the keys. I want to make sure I am turning over the keys to somebody who is serious about the serious problems the country faces and the world faces,” Obama said. “And that requires on both sides, Democrat and Republican, a sense of seriousness and decorum and honesty,” he added.
Hmmm, Democrat and honesty used in the same sentence. That hardly describes HRC but it sure sounds a lot like good old Joe. Stay tuned for the next episode of “As the Wheels Turn”.
