Three bills are working their way through Congress and two are expected to be voted on this year: National Right-to-Carry Reciprocity Act of 2012, Introduced to the Senate as S. 2188 and HR 4269 which aims to close state vs. fed loopholes on the existing Firearms Owners’ Protection Act (FOPA) passed in 1986. Both bills were introduced with bi-partisian support.
These two bills were in response to protect citizens that legally carry concealed weapons across state lines. The House bill won’t be necessary if the Senate passes National Right-to-Carry Reciprocity Act of 2012. The third bill most likely won’t be voted on this year.

I’ll be contacting my Reps. and Senators to support the bills.
