It’s fun for us to speculate on a VP pick, but the GOP primary is still on-going with 3 candidates officially still in the race. Even when Romney reaches 1144, he should keep his pick to himself until after the Tampa convention. With much of the conservative base hesitant on him the Republican to beat BO, he should establish and define himself first as our candidate that we can be enthusiastic about supporting. As the campaign is full on this fall, the VP pick may be important to shore up a shortfall of Romney’s, perhaps in a swing state, but also as a way to energize all likely voters. We know it’s Biden and he’s no prize, so if Romney picks and vetts a great running mate that accomplish the above, it could very well add excitement to all likely voters and seal the deal. Crossing my fingers for a great VP pick!
