CNN was ready for Ben Carson, but they’re still not ready to tell the truth.
When discussing the media’s “vetting,” Dr. Ben Carson asked CNN’s Alyson Camerota, “Is that what you did with this current President?” Camerota was locked and loaded with a response: “Yes. President Obama’s autobiography… was also vetted. Don’t you remember that there was a whole question about his girlfriend and people went back and it turned out that she may have been a composite character and that was revealed and the President had to talk about that.”

That’s revisionist history. First, that portion of Obama’s autobiography wasn’t “vetted” until after he was in office. So, the media did not vet candidate Obama like candidate Carson. Second, it wasn’t the media that uncovered the fake girlfriend. Obama told his biographer that it was composite character, therefore it’s not proper to say Obama “may” have made her up, he admitted he did. And finally, Obama did not “have to talk about that” with the media.
Camerota did not pull this factoid off the top of her head. CNN was ready to use it as a retort. Meaning they had all the information ahead of time and she chose to frame it in a way that was untrue.
CNN knew that Obama’s autobiography would come up when they were attacking Carson’s book. It shows how bad they want to take out Carson, because the last thing the media wants to do is recall Obama making up a girlfriend. That story is so weird and embarrassing they’re still trying to smooth it out.
Can you think of anything creepier than a grown man making up a girlfriend, and using that fictitious character to draw conclusions about women?
Here’s the story from politico :
“One of the more mysterious characters from President Obama’s 1995 autobiography Dreams From My Father is the so-called ‘New York girlfriend.’ Obama never referred to her by name, or even by pseudonym, but he describes her appearance, her voice, and her mannerisms in specific detail.”
This story got stranger and stranger, when politico had to update the story twice. The first time they came back and credited Obama with acknowledging the use of “composite characters” in later additions of his book. Then again, they revised their story and credited him with disclosing “composite characters” in the first addition.
Isn’t it weird that Obama’s biographer missed the “fact” that Obama disclosed composite characters in the first addition of his book? Isn’t odd that politico would’ve missed that “fact,” twice?
But nothing is as odd as a grown man making up a girlfriend, for any reason. It’s humiliating, it’s childish, and it should’ve provided tons of fodder for stand-up comedians. It’s one of the creepiest things a President has ever done, involving an imaginary woman.
Instead, we’re talking about Dr. Ben Carson refusing to disclose the name of the person tried to stab as a youth. Some in the media have even questioned whether or not it happened at all. As if stabbing someone makes you a more appealing candidate? If that were the case Hilary Clinton would’ve stuck a shiv in Bill years ago.
