I came across this story on Drudge. It has become clear that the Democrats’ case of TDS is no worse than that of Never Trumpers.
A loose association of current and former Republicans working to sink President Donald Trump’s re-election now see another political feat that’s necessary for them to have a shot at reclaiming their party: flipping the U.S. Senate to the Democrats.
We knew the Lincoln Project was going all in on electing Joe Biden. It turns out they feel that is not enough and have set their sights higher.
[T]he Lincoln Project has … placed six-figure ad buys against Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell in Kentucky, as well as Sens. Joni Ernst in Iowa, Thom Tillis in North Carolina and Martha McSally in Arizona, as Republicans try to hold onto their narrow three-seat majority.
Yes, as TrueConservatives™, they want to ensure that Biden can also breeze through putting 2-4 Kamala Harris types on the Supreme Court to join Kagan and Sotomayor. Imagine a solid liberal bloc for the next generation to wipe out what hasn’t already been shredded. And this new Schumer Senate can of course work with Pelosi’s House to enact whatever legislative damage they can dream up for Biden to rubber stamp, especially after Schumer’s first act will be to get rid of filibusters and blue slips to make sure a slim majority is unstoppable.
The money quote comes from Steve Schmidt. Apparently there is a special kinship among the members of the GOP who did the most to help Barack Obama get elected and subsequently reelected.
Every one of them should be voted out of office, with the exception of Mitt Romney.
As they say in the informercials, “But wait! There’s more!” Biden needs all the help he can get in battleground states, and Never Trumpers will gladly jump in to “bravely” provide it.
[T]he list of anti-Trump organizations powered by conservatives is growing. Former Illinois Rep. Joe Walsh told McClatchy that he plans to formally roll out the Bravery Project next week, yet another group that will attempt to reach tens of thousands of disaffected Republicans in the six core presidential battleground states of Arizona, Florida, Michigan, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.
You can read the story if you want to hear from other geniuses like Liz Mair and Sarah Longwell, but you get the idea. These people are really sick, especially given recent rumors that Sam Alito, Dubya’s ‘good’ SC nominee, is sick of DC and ready to bolt at age 70.
