Revolution has arrived in NYC, YEA RIGHT!

As a born and bred New Yorker, a public school teacher in Westchester, a Union member, and a true Patriot, I am disgusted by these protests that continually have made life miserable for the good people of Manhattan. I saw their unruliness firsthand was I attended the San Gennaro festival in Little Italy Saturday night.  Tons of streets and byways were closed off as these disheveled 97% white unemployed (living off their parent’s incomes & skipping class) made these feeble Marxist demands heard. They are on their 12th day of this “occupation” (Sounds oddly Bolshevik) and are attempting to spread these protest across the nation. They wonder why the NYPD presence was so strong, and are extremely lucky that our city has one of the most professional forces in the world. (Well a little Pepper spray never hurt anyone did it?) Let’s examine their demands:

1.Campaign Finance Reform
All votes are no longer equal in our Democracy. Money must be put outside of politics, or politicians will continue to pander to those who contribute the most to their campaigns, rather than their own constituencies. Specifically, we abhor the decision by the Supreme Court in Citizens United v. FEC. Corporations are NOT people.

2.True Shared Sacrifice
While corporate profits have been skyrocketing and the wealthy have been getting wealthier, the average worker’s income has dramatically dropped. While the cost of living has exponentially increased, wages have not followed. It has been shown time and time again that tax cuts for the wealthy are NOT effective. Taxes on those who practice greed should be raised.

3.Equality in Justice
This great nation was founded on liberty, but also, on equality. When the balance of justice is swayed in favor of those with wealth, the very fabric of this nation is torn apart. The decision of a judge should not be based upon the race, creed, or wealth of an individual, but rather, the content of the case.

4.The End of the Revolving Door
The Obama administration was supposed to bring change and hope to our country, but instead, brought us into despair and insecurity. Those working in his administration are the very people whom we are fighting against. Those who enter Washington should not be representatives of the elites, but representatives of the people. One cannot simply enter an administration, reap its benefits, and simply exit.

I would first like to comment of clause number 3 which speaks of Equality in Justice, if the left simply followed their own advice, we would never be in this mess in the first place. No forced loans from Freddie and Fannie Mae to recipients who had no way of paying back those loans. (Sadly these people were set up for failure and make up the majority who are defaulting on their loans, especially in the minority categories.) Their obvious target is Wall Street and they propose that they stand against both the two established parties. (Yea right you be hard pressed to find one person who did not vote for Obama in 2008.) Nevertheless they have now trotted out Michael Moore as their official spokesman( Watch his speech here.. http://www.bluecheddar.net/2011/09/29/the-occupy-movement-092911-from-wisconsin-to-wall-street-a-dispatch-from-arthur-lawrence-odonnell-michael-moore/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=the-occupy-movement-092911-from-wisconsin-to-wall-street-a-dispatch-from-arthur-lawrence-odonnell-michael-moore.) He speaks of the criminality of Wall Street, our need to destroy this den of thieves and their unproductive ways. While some in Wall Street are greedy and have crossed the line, without this “Financial Capital of the World” we might as well go back and hone our husbandry skills because we are going to need to pull in one hell of a harvest to feed America once we rid ourselves of their evil ways. The class warfare inherent in this whole fiasco is sickening. They talk of normal obligations such as paying mortgages and students loans as travesties which bring the “International Worker to their knees.” Like this debt is the bad sort, well it might be if you brought yourself that $700,000 house in Westchester and had it remortgaged several times to live way beyond your means. The people we see suffering here in Westchester and the city are people who were stretching it in good times and had nothing to fall back on in the bad. Yes my Union had asked us to take pay freezes over the next several years and I continually argue in favor of these measures. Our full time Union organizers are these ones who continually push us to defy our employers “the People” and live beyond our means. (As you can tell I appreciate my benefits, but I am irked that my wages are forcible confiscated and distributed to a party that will never get my vote for as long as I live!) They seek to strip the same Corporations who employ the rest of America so they can have their entitled share. I mean lets get serious, we are in need of a tax code overhaul, simplifying and lowering rates for all Americans. Redistribution of wealth is not in the cards, if you want a piece of that pie, go grab it for yourself!

No excuses, it can be done, we are the most charitable nation on earth and all we ask of our citizens is self-determination and hard work. Anyone can go to college, there are loans available for anyone, but chose your profession wisely and be prepared to pay your loans back one day. I want all of you here at RedState.com to take a look at a very interesting documentary by Rensselaer Polytechnic concerning economic competition and disparities between the U.S. , China, and India. I am convinced if those snotty little whiners currently trashing Wall Street could see it, it might inspire some to throw down their Hammer and Sickle and pick up their textbooks again. We are being defeated simply because the other side wants it more. Look at the schedules of those students from China and India, look at their backgrounds(Think our inner city Ghettos are bad, try the Southside of Mumbai), They can except no help from their Communist governments(Nor do these governments care because even they have seemed to learn the value of the Merit system) , and just the sure amount of competition from their billion plus countrymen. While our students both poor and rich complain and demand that everything be given to them, these other nations just continue to work hard and snatch up what remains of our great nation…..
