[H]e told guests at a private White House dinner that race was probably a key component in the rising opposition to his presidency from conservatives, especially right-wing activists in the anti-incumbent “Tea Party” movement that was then surging across the country. […]

A guest suggested that when Tea Party activists said they wanted to “take back” their country, their real motivation was to stir up anger and anxiety at having a black president, and Obama didn’t dispute the idea. He agreed that there was a “subterranean agenda” in the anti-Obama movement – a racially biased one – that was unfortunate. But he sadly conceded that there was little he could do about it.

When there isn’t a racially biased movement, you can’t do anything about that either. Some facts about Obama that we can take away from these comments:

1. Obama’s move to the center is a myth. He is not interested in moving to the center at all.
2. Barack Obama is going to rely completely his base to get him re-elected. Yeah, good luck with that.
3. Obama is not post-racial. Sorry.

DrewM at Ace Of Spades, notes “Take Back America” is not invention of the Tea Party:

So if you want to “take back” America you’re a racist? Well then, what do you call someone who give a speech at conference called “Take Back America”? You might want to ask Barack Obama who spoke at this conference at least two times.

The group that organized these conferences that hosted Obama even have a music video with a song called…Take Back America.

Oh wait, that’s ok because they are “progressives”.

Thing is, this country never belonged to the “progressives” to begin with. This country was built on free-maket and small government principles. They have had this country and taken it to a socialist and communist tilt for decades now. It is time to end that big government and runaway spending leadership and really take back our country back to small government and free-markets.

I will opposed anyone – black, white, red, or blue – who thinks government is the answer. I opposed John Kerry in 2004 with the same passion as I opposed Barack Obama in 2008.

I love anyone who supports smaller government. Take the current Lt. Governor of Florida, Jennifer Carroll. I like her more than I like Rick Scott (end SunRail and you’ll both be great in my eyes) at this moment! In fact, I voted for her and not Rick Scott! Hell, I am supporting Herman Cain for President! Alan West, Tim Scott, Nikkie Haley, love them all!

However it is all about going to the mattresses. It’s nothing personal, it’s just business. We at the Tea Party don’t care if you are black, blue, or French. If you are all about small government and more freedom, then we will love and back you. If you are a progressive liberal, not so much.

When you throw out the race card, you make it personal and one I will debate you up and down the floor. The argumentum ad hominem is not going to work anymore, on either side.
