Obama's contempt for America is torture to me

I think it’s entirely clear that all of the attention directed toward methods of the CIA of late demonstrate further the contempt that Obama and others on the left have for this country.  It does seem that the only conceivable reason to produce, and then make public, a “report” of this nature is to bolster Obama’s position that America is one of the greatest sources of evil in the world.

Likewise, some of the media talking heads who have voiced their deep concerns and outrage over the “findings” of the “report” cite descriptions of anal feedings, of putting terrorists in coffins with insects, of water boarding, etc.  But what of the actions of those who we are seeking information about?  Do they stop at water boarding?  Anal feedings?  Or do they mercilessly kill as many Americans as they can, wherever, whenever, however they can?  Do they not saw of the heads of hostages and post those atrocities on social media?

Obam-ites assert that the techniques described in the senate hack-staffers’ “report” make us the equivalent of those who flew airplanes into the World Trade Center, or who decapitate helpless Westerners on the internet.  It’s difficult to know where to begin in response to such a bewildering opinion – the vast difference in outcomes, or what our CIA seeks to gain from such practices vs what terrorists seek to gain from murder, or…

Maybe there is a lesson here.  Perhaps we can just let the agencies charged with keeping us safe do their work and quit treating the individuals involved like criminals.  Obama has been consistent in expressing his disgust for the country he presides over, through his world-wide apology tour, his bowing to tyrants and despots, and his repeated references to our many mistakes and un-exceptionalism.  The  staffer-hack “report”  on CIA techniques serves his purposes, but he’s entering his lame-duck, and he’ll have less help in the Senate after [mc_name name=’Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV)’ chamber=’senate’ mcid=’R000146′ ] is demoted in January.  Maybe then, when people who do love and appreciate this country as the greatest force for good the world has ever known assume the helm, we can just let the techniques, the successes, and the failures of the CIA in dealing with those who would love nothing more than to kill us all remain secret – recent news cycles have shown pretty conclusively that we have no stomach for details of the hard and ugly work they do.  Personally, I’m beyond thankful that those men and women are willing to do the dirtiest of dirty jobs.  They’re not evil-doing torturers – they’re heroes.
