Obama-Sarkozy farce on Iran, financial reform

The Obama-Sarkozy shindig just ended the tail end of Cavuto’s show on Fox News. I don’t have a transcript yet, but let me tell you in plain English–it was an absolute farce.

FINANCIAL REGULATION:
Obama and Sarkozy are in favor of global financial regulations. Cavuto mentioned at the end that Germany is firmly opposed to this. Good for Germany!

Whenever you hear “global,” think United Nations and just how “well” that works. Think of Libya or Syria on a commission for human rights. Well, do you want Russia or China or Iran to control our finances? Suppose China tells us to cut back and spend less on our military?

Obama mentioned the global financial crisis in 2008. Yeah, I know, I am a defrauded Lehman Brother shareholder. But I want no part of any Obama financial reform, which, like ObamaCare, gives the government total power to control any bank or corporation.

IRAN
Obama said that he’s working towards tough sanctions in “a matter of weeks, not months.” Oh boy! Sanctions, in weeks! Through the UN, where China and Russia and Brazil have already said they won’t go along. Didn’t you give Iran a September deadline, and then a December deadline, and now it’s almost April, and what have you accomplished?

Obama said that he’s disarming our nuclear weapons, but is helping genocidal Iran to get a nuclear weapon promoting world peace?

Cavuto pointed outthat both Obama and Sarkozy are firmly against Jews building homes in Jerusalem.

TRUST
Sarkozy said many times that Obama is someone you can trust. I trust Obama, also. I trust that everything he says to the American people is a lie or has an expiration date.

SUMMARY
Just a joke!

Here’s something from our CIA:

CIA: Iran Moving Closer to Nuclear Weapon
March 30, 2010 – 3:56 PM | by: Justin Fishel
A recently published report by the Central Intelligence Agency says Iran is still working on building a nuclear weapon despite some technical setbacks and international resistance — and the Pentagon say it’s still concerned about Iran’s ambitions. The mandated report to congress reads, “Iran continues to develop a range of capabilities that could be applied to producing nuclear weapons, if a decision is made to do so.”

“Iran continued to expand its nuclear infrastructure and continued uranium enrichment and activities related to its heavy water research reactor, despite multiple United Nations Security Council Resolutions since late 2006 calling for the suspensin of those activities,” the report says.

The CIA’s new characterization of Iran’s nuclear program stands in contradiction to the 2007 National Intelligence Estimate on Iran, which determined the country halted its nuclear production efforts in 2003.

The 2007 National Intelligence Estimate on Iran was a complete joke? You don’t say!

Ah, here’s an article this very minute:

Obama hopes for new Iran sanctions ‘this spring’
During White House press conference, French leader says Israeli construction in east Jerusalem ‘contributes nothing’. Obama tells reporters he would like to see new UN sanctions imposed on Iran ‘in weeks’

France is standing with the United States in condemning Israeli construction in east Jerusalem.

French President Nicolas Sarkozy said his own commitment to Israel’s security is well known, but added that the “settlement” activity in an area claimed by the Palestinians “contributes nothing.”

Speaking at a news conference with President Barack Obama after their White House meeting Tuesday, Sarkozy praised Obama for trying to engage the two sides in peace talks. Sarkozy said the “absence of peace” in the region “is a problem for all of us” – and that it feeds terrorism around the world.

Obama, for his part, told reporters he would like to see new UN sanctions placed on Iran in a matter of weeks.

“My hope is that we are going to get this done this spring,” said the US leader. “I’m interested in seeing that regime in place in weeks.”

Thanks for your help, France, as always.
