A determined crowd of millions of Venezuelans are rallying today in Caracas to oust the brutal socialist dictator Maduro, who utterly destroyed one of the most prosperous nations in South America.
Interim President Juan Guaido is calling today’s rally the “final phase of Operation Freedom” and the people are encouraged by the release from prison of a key opposition leader, Leopoldo López.
This time, Guaido’s force have some arms which might help convince the military and police to join with Guaido. Maduro should just flee to Havana, Moscow or Tehran while he can.
If today’s rally fails, then Maduro may use his Cuban, Russian, Hamas and other forces to strike at the peaceful millions that want to rebuild their nation, making future rallies and a revolution more difficult.
If this fails then it’s time for President Trump to work with Columbia and Brazil for a limited “Panama-style” strike to oust Maduro, or the nation will sink deeper into anarchy and become effectively owned by Russia, Cuba, Iran, China and Hamas. Given just a bit of support, the people will do the rest, so this would not be an Iraq-like action.
Then Guaido can form the government to rebuild the nation, oust the Russians, Cubans, Chinese, Hamas and drug cartels, invite in foreign investors to rebuild the nation, and one day soon, the people of Venezuela will again enjoy a prosperous and safe life.
