The Republicans are wrong in believing that the American public would reject a vote to impeach the president of the United States.

Republicans have foolishly bought into the liberal argument that any attempt to impeach would irk the public and mobilize the democratic base in the November congressional and senate elections, resulting in public retaliation against members of congress who exercised their only lawful response to presidential abuse of power and office.

I disagree. There are many moderate democrats, republicans and independents who are concerned with what they see happening and are frustrated by the inaction of a congress afraid of its own shadow.

Impeachment, properly explained is, in my judgment, far more palatable and understandable than a lawsuit which the democrats have ridiculed, rightly so.

The error for republicans is this: they look back at the Clinton impeachment which concerned his lying under oath about an affair with a White House intern, and think that the public would not be smart enough to see that there is a huge difference between the immature indiscretions of a president, infatuated with a younger woman working in his office, and the far more serious abuses of power and dereliction of duties of another president who is ignoring and violating laws that directly affect the health and safety of the citizens of the United States.

I happen to believe just the opposite: when confronted with a bill of particulars against this president, I suspect the public would be horrified with the willful disregard this president has shown for the laws of the United States with which he disagrees. Americans understand that they are obligated to obey all laws, and I strongly suspect that they would look unkindly at a president and his supporters who thought he was above the very laws he is sworn to uphold.

Those who disagree with my view, argue that the senate would reject such a bid. Would they? And if the democratic controlled senate refused to take up these serious offenses, it is, I believe, their necks that would be on the chopping block in November.

Indeed, let the democrats say these offenses are all about politics.

Let the democrats defend IRS abuse, obstruction of justice and destruction of records to conceal crimes against the American people and argue that it  is no big deal.

Let the democrats defend selling arms to drug cartels and the slaughter of hundreds of Mexican citizens and a U.S. border patrol agent.

Let the democrats defend the abandonment of Americans fighting for their lives in defense of an American diplomatic compound overseas.

Let the democrats defend the purposeful misdirection by the president and his secretary of state, in blaming the terrorist attack on an American diplomatic compound on an internet video and not on Islamic terrorists and then refusing to aid the Americans whose repeated calls for help were ignored.

Let the democrats defend the president’s rule by executive order in place of working out compromises with republicans who disagree with him.

Let the democrats defend the president’s directing of U.S. agencies and agents to ignore our nation’s immigration laws and then to secretly ship illegal entrants into our country to states unbeknownst to the governors of those states or the people. Why the secrecy?

The republicans seriously misunderstand the American people. Americans see their borders being openly and willfully violated. They know America is under attack, and worse they know the attack is managed and orchestrated by the president of the United States and his senate and congressional allies. Millions of illegal immigrants are invading our country and no serious effort is being made to prosecute businesses that employee them or after a swift hearing return to their homelands at the border those who cross illegally.  The laws are on the books. The president chooses to ignore them.

He deserves to be impeached and below is one citizen’s views.

Resolution Impeaching BARAK HUSSEIN OBAMA, President of the United States, for high crimes and misdemeanors.

          RESOLVED, That Barak Hussein Obama, President of the United States, is impeached for high crimes and misdemeanors, and that the following articles of impeachment to be exhibited to the Senate:

ARTICLES OF IMPEACHMENT EXHIBITED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA IN THE NAME OF ITSELF AND OF ALL OF THE PEOPLE OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, AGAINST BARAK HUSSEIN OBAMA, PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, IN MAINTENANCE AND SUPPORT OF ITS IMPEACHMENT AGAINST HIM FOR HIGH CRIMES AND MISDEMEANORS.

          In his conduct of the office of President of the United States, Barak Hussein Obama, in violation of his constitutional oath faithfully to execute the office of President of the United States and, to the best of his ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States, and in violation of his constitutional duty to take care that the laws be faithfully executed, has prevented, obstructed, and impeded the administration of justice, in that:

ARTICLE I

HE HAS PURPOSEFULLY FAILED TO HOLD THE INTERNAL REVENUE SERVICE TO ACCOUNT FOR ITS UNLAWFUL POLITICAL RETALIATION AGAINST PRIVATE NON-PROFITS WHOSE VIEWS IT DISAGREED WITH AND HE HAS OBSTRUCTED JUSTICE BY IMPEDING MULTIPLE CONGRESSIONAL INVESTIGATIONS INTO SAID ABUSE BY REFUSING TO DIRECT IRS OFFICIALS SUBPOENAED BY THE CONGRESS TO SECURE ALL E-MAILS AND RECORDS AND TO TESTIFY AND COOPERATE FULLY WITH THE INVESTIGATIONS TO FERRET OUT THE DEGREE OF ABUSE BY AGENCY OFFICIALS AND TO FIRE OR DISCIPLINE THOSE OFFICIALS WHO DECEIVE OR DECEIVED OR WITHHOLD AND WITHHELD INFORMATION FROM CONGRESSIONAL INVESTIGATORS.

ARTICLE II

HE HAS FAILED TO FAITHFULLY EXECUTE HIS DUTIES TO ENFORCE THIS NATION’S IMMIGRATION LAWS  OR ABIDE BY HIS OATH OF OFFICE, AND THROUGH THE DEPARTMENTS OF HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES AND HOMELAND SECURITY HAS

(1.) RELOCATED IN SECRET ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS TO STATES WITHOUT NOTIFYING GOVERNORS’ OF UNLAWFUL RELOCATIONS IN VIOLATION OF OUR NATION’S IMMIGRATION LAW AND HIS OATH OF OFFICE;

(2.) FAILED TO ADEQUATELY INSPECT THOSE CROSSING OUR BORDERS ILLEGALLY FOR COMMUNICABLE DISEASES, PRESENTING A CLEAR AND PRESENT DANGER TO THE HEALTH OF THE AMERICAN PUBLIC;

(3.) FAILED TO DETAIN THOSE SUSPECTED OF GANG ACTIVITY OR DISPLAYING GANG INSIGNIA IN SECURE FACILITIES UNTIL IT CAN BE DETERMINED THAT SUCH INDIVIDUALS DO NOT PRESENT A SECURITY THREAT TO CITIZENS OF THE UNITED STATES.

(4.) HAS REFUSED TO HOLD OTHER ILLEGALS IN SECURE FACILITIES ON THE BORDER BUT HAS, INSTEAD, ACTIVELY TRANSPORTED THOUSANDS OF KNOWN ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS TO STATES ACROSS THE NATION WITHOUT SECURING A MEANS OF LOCATING SUCH INDIVIDUALS FOR DEPORTATION OR HEARING, IN CLEAR VIOLATION OF OUT NATION’S IMMIGRATION LAWS AND HIS OATH OF OFFICE.

(5) HE HAS UNLAWFULLY DIRECTED THE AGENCY RESPONSIBLE FOR ENFORCEMENT OF OUR NATION’S IMMIGRATION LAWS TO IGNORE THE LAW AND FACE CONSEQUENCES IF THEY FAIL TO PARTICIPATE IN THE WHOLESALE AND PURPOSEFUL VIOLATION OF THOSE LAWS BY ACTIVELY IGNORING THEIR MANDATE TO SECURE OUR NATION’S BORDERS FROM ILLEGAL PENETRATION AND INVASION BY FOREIGN INDIVIDUALS AND BY CONCEALING AND TRANSPORTING THOUSANDS OF ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS TO PRIVATE AND GOVERNMENT SUBSIDIZED HOUSING IN VIOLATION OF THIS NATION’S IMMIGRATION LAWS.

ARTICLE III

IN VIOLATION OF THE CONSTITUTION AND LAWS OF THE UNITED STATES HE HAS WILLFULLY AND WITHOUT REGARD FOR THE SEPARATION OF POWERS AMENDED LAWS UNILATERALLY TO ALTER THOSE LAWS IN DIRECT CONTRAVENTION OF THE LANGUAGE OF THE PARTICULAR LAW  HE DISAGREES WITH, IN VIOLATION OF HIS OATH OF OFFICE TO FAITHFULLY EXECUTE THE LAWS ENACTED BY THE CONGRESS AND SIGNED BY HIS VERY HAND.

ARTICLE IV

HE HAS FAILED TO TAKE ANY EMPLOYMENT OR DISCIPLINARY ACTION AGAINST THE BUREAU OF ALCOHOL, TOBACCO, FIREARMS AND EXPLOSIVES WHOSE AGENTS ENGAGED IN AN OPERATION TO SELL HUNDREDS OF GUNS TO DRUG CARTELS AND SUSPECTED GUN SMUGGLERS IN MEXICO MANY OF WHICH WERE LINKED TO NUMEROUS VIOLENT CRIMES, INCLUDING THE FATAL SHOOTING OF U.S. BORDER PATROL AGENT BRIAN TERRY IN DECEMBER OF 2010.

ARTICLE V

HE PURPOSEFULLY MISLED THE AMERICAN PUBLIC AND THE WORLD COMMUNITY ABOUT THE ROOT CAUSE OF THE SEPTEMBER 11, 2012 ATTACK ON THE AMERICAN DIPLOMATIC COMPOUND IN BENGHAZI, LIBYA, BLAMING THE ATTACK ON AN INTERNET VIDEO AND NOT ON ISLAMIC TERRORISTS WHO WERE BEHIND THE ATTACK, AND AS COMMANDER-IN- CHIEF HE FAILED TO RESPOND TO REPEATED REQUESTS FOR ASSISTANCE FROM THOSE AMERICANS DEFENDING THE COMPOUND WHILE THE COMPOUND WAS UNDER ASSAULT, RESULTING IN THE BRUTAL KILLING OF U.S. AMBASSADOR J. CHRISTOPHER STEVENS, FOREIGN SERVICE EMPLOYEE SEAN SMITH AND CIA CONTRACTORS TYRONE S. WOODS AND GLENN DOHERTY WHO SACRIFICED THEIR LIVES IN THE BELIEF THAT AMERICA WOULD NOT IGNORE THEIR REQUESTS FOR HELP.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT:

          In all this Barak Hussein Obama has undermined the integrity of his office, has brought disrepute on the Presidency, has betrayed his trust as President and has acted in a manner subversive of the rule of law and justice, to the manifest injury of the people of the United States.

Wherefore, Barak Hussein Obama, by such conduct, warrants impeachment and trial, and removal from office and disqualification to hold and enjoy any office of honor, trust or profit under the United States.
